Northern Belle Carolyn Faulkner

Police Lt. Joseph Anderson is a veteran cop who has secretly wished for a white picket fence instead of his bachelor apartment, but is more afraid of failing at marriage than he is of the rough streets he patrols. Shelly Fontaine is back town, trying to rebuild her life and her family home.

With help from her local family members, Joseph starts to learn what makes Shelly tick. The more he gets to know her, the more he believes they are made for each other, but she has her doubts. Can she possibly tolerate a set-in-his-ways guy who's not above paddling her if it's "For Her Own Good" (even if he is hot as hell)?
